Jerry Luo is Co-Founder of Leaf Bio, a pioneer in plant-based high-performance materials. Before joining Leaf Bio, he spent 15+ years in venture investing and company building across 20+ frontier-technology companies in AI, robotics and advanced materials — experience that shaped a practical view of technology: breakthroughs become markets only when they earn trust through performance, qualification, supply-chain readiness and scale.

At Leaf Bio, he leads application development, polymer R&D and international strategic partnerships. In textiles, he led the development and commercialization of BioFleax®, a 100% plant-based innovation platform that takes frontier polymer science out of the lab. BioFleax® technology has now brought BioFleax® PEF into volume production — the world's first PEF in commercial textile use. Leaf Bio is currently working with leading brands across sportswear, fashion and luxury, and is scaling FDCA/PEF production toward industrial volumes.
