Based in Singapore for the last 5 years, Bastian is a Vice President of Lidl & Kaufland Asia Pte Limited responsible for expansion and strengthening of the network of localised offices covering the Asia region. This includes ASEAN countries, South Asia and Turkey. He has 14+ years of experience in sourcing, merchandising, innovation  and strategic management in the retail industry.

He moved to Singapore in 2018 to set-up a second sourcing hub for Lidl in Asia and supported the re-organisation of Lidl’s HQ move from Hong Kong to Singapore in close collaboration with Singaporean Government Agencies. In early 2016 he joined Lidl Hong Kong Limited as Sourcing Director managing Lidl’s Hardgoods sourcing activities in Asia.
