Adi Reza Nugroho
Adi Reza Nugroho is the Co-Founder and CEO of MYCL, a biotechnology company producing sustainable materials for the global market. MYCL develops high-performance, low-impact biomaterials for fashion and building applications.
A graduate of the School of Architecture at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Adi has been passionate about entrepreneurship from an early age. He was previously the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Growbox, a company providing do-it-yourself mushroom growing kits. Together with his co-founders, he pivoted the business into MYCL (formerly Mycotech) in 2015.
Under his leadership, MYCL has received both local and international recognition, including the 2017 Seoul Architecture & Urbanism Biennale, the 2018 DBS Social Enterprise Awards, the 2019 MIT Solve Circular Economy Challenge, and selection as an Earthshot Prize Finalist in 2024. Adi was also awarded an Australia Awards Scholarship for a short-term programme in International Business Readiness at the Queensland University of Technology in 2018.
Adi believes that being part of the social entrepreneurship ecosystem means contributing to solutions that create both business value and positive impact for the world.
